Award in Inspection and TestingDescription
The short, one week course is suitable for electricians who have not carried out inspection and testing since training, or who require update training before progressing. It is also suitable for those with some experience of inspection and testing of electrical installations, such as those entering the industry from other engineering sectors or those working in allied trades.

This qualification covers the knowledge, understanding and some of the skills associated with the design, specification, installation, inspection, testing, commissioning and handover of electrical energy storage systems (EESS). It follows the IET Code of Practice for Electrical Energy Storage Systems and industry guidance, together with the requirements of BS 7671. It has a range of relevant outcomes covering statutory legislation applicable to EESS, the principles of batteries and EESS, how to specify and design an EESS, installation, inspection and testing, and handover of an EESS.
